| Why Dragonfly? |
| You may have wondered - Why Dragonfly? How did the name of this website come about? Dragonfly is one of my totem animals |
| In doing the totem animals we start with the EAST first. The first chosen for me was the Dragonfly. Dragonfly is the guide to my greatest spiritual challenge and guards the path to illumination. Dragonfly breaks illusions, and brings visions of power. Dragonfly is the winds of change - the message of wisdom and enlightenment and the communication from the elemental world. Tiny spirits of plants - air, earth, fire & water. And so, being the first totem animal to be chosen and feeling a closeness to this delicate little creature, I felt it befitting to use the name Dragonfly for this site. --------- After the first/east Dragonfly came the rest in order of South, West, North, Above, Below and Within. That is 7 totem animals. But not all -- Lastly we have The right side - male protector - or father totem animal The left side - female protector - or mother animal 9 total totem animals Each one has a story to tell. And the story grows with the place that animal rests in the directions. It ties these animals to me in all I do and as I journey through my life and beyond. |
