Our Dogs
Willy
Australian Shepard with no herding ability.
He comes from a long line of purebred Aussies - who for some
reason or another, seem to be dis-interested in herding stock.
This makes them a great family pet without the concern of them
running or chasing livestock.
Of course he is a high energy dog - typical of Aussie's.
Hyper is the word - but with lots of patience and work he is
becoming a much calmer boy.
Willy's favorite things are running with the 4-wheeler. Riding in
the vehicle and, of course, lots of attention.
Aussie's are great family pets and Willy is no exception. He
loves people and children.  One might not know it to drive up to
our gate and find Willy the first one there with the most
intimidating look and bark.
But, once your invited in - this guy wants to be your best friend.
Remember - you must be invited in first..
Buster
We got Buster as a pup about 7 years ago. (this is 07).. He is a
Border Collie x Sheltie.  PLEASE don't ever bred this cross.
While we love Buster - he has some strange personality traits.
Like, jumping and yelping as if he has been beaten if you might
get a foot to close or move to fast. He is overly excitable and is
the most annoying one we have for barking.
After many years with working Border Collies - I can say these
strange traits are certainly not that of a typical BC.. Nor of a
typical Sheltie as we had several of them in years past too. So it
must be the combination.
He also has absolutely NO herding/working instincts.
He is is a extremely loyal boy who loves people and children. He
enjoys his petting out of the loop of the rest of the pack due to
his shyness.  We take "special" time with Buster.
He also loves to run with the 4-wheeler.
Lizzy
We rescued Lizzy from a local animal shelter a few years back.
While they called her a shepard cross - we feel pretty sure she
is a Entlebucher cross.  I think her time was close. She could not
get a home, and my preception of that is because she is far from
the cute energetic  dog many look for.  Boy did people miss the
boat on this one. I chose her because she was the only quiet dog
in the place. No barking, jumping and acting crazy.  And her
soft, loving eyes told the whole story.   No disappointment here!.
I doubt one could find a better family pet.
This dog gets along with everyone - other dogs, people, and she
loves people, especially kids.
She is mellow yet fun loving. Her favorite past time is chasing
rabbits and laying on her back while you rub her tummy.  And
like all of them, she loves to go with the 4-wheeler.
We have 3 more dogs -- but a lot more to say...

Our 3 Pit Bull Terriers
Our dogs care is of the utmost importance to us. Not only health care but giving them what they
need to be balanced - happy dogs.  For us that means EXERCISE first and formost.
Excercise is paramount for dogs.  They are pack animals who travel. Without proper exercise we
would have 6 very hyper dogs who could develop a whole host of bad habits we see daily in confined
dogs who do not get exercise, not to mention - its highly unlikely 6 dogs would get along.
So, they get a couple miles of travel every other day.
They get things to do and think about.  We take the time to give individual attention to each one
as they all require a little someting different to keep them balanced and happy..
After exercise comes disapline when needed and affection for all.
Yes - we totally agree with Cesar Millan (the Dog Whisperer)  Because it WORKS.
