I lost 30 pounds and my husband lost 26 pounds
We eat all we want. No diet, no exercise, no gimmick, no pills
You are probably wondering - then HOW?
We did this last winter while sitting around doing nothing.  
   I spent most of my time sitting in front of this computer.
   We did not take diet pills, go on any fashionable diet trend or any of the usual things you have heard
about or tried..
What we did do was change how we ate. We simply stopped eating junk..   Now wait a minute because
while you might think you know the full meaning of  "junk".. I want to explain what I really mean..

Yes, I do mean the typical junk but that is just part of it.

The other kind of junk is the kind that can also make us sick. It's what no one should eat anyway.

STOP putting these things in your MOUTH!
High Fructose Corn Syrup(HFCS)  Absolutely stopped drinking pop. Especially diet pop.
Monsodium Glutamate (MSG)
Sugar
Aspartame: Artificial sweeteners.  
DON'T eat anything that says DIET on it.. Yep-you will loose weight.
Hydrogenated Oils - Trans Fats.
Sodium Nitrate

Many of the above things are linked to all kinds of illness, disease and disorders. One of the biggest
being obesity.   Some of them are addicting and make you want to come back for more and more, which
packs on more and more weight.  
    And no wonder.. These things are full of man made chemicals. Far from natural. And our bodies fight
them off.....  Which may be the main reason our immune systems are so bad we cannot fight off illness and
disease.
Anybody can do this - There is nothing hard about it
SO WHERE DO WE START?
The place to  start is to read about just what these things are and what they do.  
After reading that, I can't imagine anyone who would want to continue to put
those toxins into their body..      I will put the link at the end of this article..
 
But first: I am going to tell you how we started out.  

One thing we did was to start juicing: We got a good juicer and we would (and do) have a glass of fresh
fruit juice every morning.  We mix all kinds of things.. Berries, Oranges, apples, pineapple, grapefruit ...
and the list goes on..

No more packaged - processed foods.. WE started eating as much fresh veggies as possible..
      FRESH veggies.
Salads with 5 to 7 different veggies...

e use organic salad dressing or make our own from Olive Oil, herbs and Apple Cider Vinegar.
  W
e often turn that salad into a meal.. Topping it with Tuna, chicken, shrimp or turkey..
NOT packaged/processed meats.. We will get to the meat thing a little later..
 
Back to the veggies.
  Other ways w
e get our veggies.. Steam them. We quit popping  them into the microwave and killing all
the nutrients..  
 W
e buy fresh veggies.. Not in a package...   
  Cabbage is a very cheap veggie that keeps forever and is one of o
ur favorites.

  
We Pick 2 or 3 veggies.. Example: Chop up some cabbage, carrots and peas..  Now steam them lightly.  
The less time the better. Just till tender.
  Put in a bowl - add a big tablespoon of Butter (real butter)...and some Mrs. Dash.. YUMMY...

W
e also use veggies for snacks..  Some chopped tomatoes, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower or whatever
you like.. A little dressing for dip and its a great and healthy snack.
Nothing wrong with meat if its the right kind.
  We stopped buying packaged processed meats full of sodium nitrate..   Not to mention full of
growth hormones and antibiotics..  If you only knew what was going on with the beef, chickens and other
critters you eat...

We buy Chicken and Turkeys that are labeled - NO growth hormones.  Sometimes labeled - free range -
grass fed - no antibiotics - cage free etc..etc..

How we found these things was through our local health food store where local farmers sell or when
possible go right to the local farmers.  We also make the farmers market during the summer months.


We are lucky that we live in an area where we hunt. So we eat venison.  You can't go wrong with venison.  
Definitely no antibiotics or growth hormones..  In our area they graze the wheat fields so are grain feed,
so to speak.  We also hunt birds like Pheasant.

Fish is also on the agenda..

So we have a nice variety of meat.. Fish, Turkey, Chicken, pheasant and venison.
WHAT ABOUT MEAT?
WHAT ABOUT DAIRY?
I will not go into all the details of the why's and why not's on this page.  There is a ton of information to
back up what I say.. Some of it is on this site..  But it can all be found online.

First off:
Humans are the only mammal on earth that continues to drink milk after weaned.. We do
NOT need it for anything..   Calcium? NOPE..  Strong bones? NOPE..  Myths.

If you want to drink it anyway, consider unpasteurized whole milk.. A local farmer who milks.  Many switch
to goats milk.  

I drink very little milk.. On my Oatmeal for breakfast is about it.  Sometimes a half of glass with a peanut
butter and jelly sandwich.  I use Almond Milk. I like it better than Soy milk.   Now my husband still drinks
regular milk..  

I buy and eat Organic cheese.  We NEED protein so besides our meat we do eat eggs.. Our first choice is
to buy from a local person who raise a few chickens and sell the eggs.. Most generally they are
inexpensive - and the chickens free range and are not fed any chemicals of any kind.  Fresh organic
eggs are next best, when we can afford them..  But at the very least - the carton must say cage free -
free range etc..
NOT ENOUGH TO CHOOSE FROM?
What about soups?  Sandwiches?
   Eat all you want...  I
make my own homemade soups or buy organic soups.  We stopped buying
packaged - processed - full of MSG soups...

Sandwiches? YES...
We eat only Sourdough bread or Rye bread. WE stopped eating WHITE bread. We
stopped eating WHEAT bread.  WE do not each much bread.. WE try to limit it to 2 slices a day.

On the sandwich?  That good turkey or chicken we talked about..  I make Turkey or Chicken or Egg salad
a lot of times..  I use a wonderful Olive Oil Mayo.. It really is delicious. I have made sandwiches for many
people and have yet to have anyone really know the difference..
 And I chop up things to put in my salad sandwiches.. Fresh green onions.. Organic pickles..

I also love Peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches..  Organic peanut butter..  Organic Jelly (often called fruit
spread)...

The Jelly/fruit spread also makes wonderful syrup to go on Organic pancake mix.

My favorite breakfast is Oatmeal..  Whole plain oats.. no additives no nothing.. Just oats.  I like to add
raisins - cinnamon and Honey.. Raw honey is best..

What else?  In learning more all the time we have found some tasty snacks in our health food store. Even
chips that are really yummy...

But our main diet is fruit and veggies...  Plus we take quality daily supplements.
IT ALL SOUNDS TO HARD.
It sounds a lot harder than it is..  We just stop eating CHEMICALS that are in fast foods, packaged foods,
and processed foods.  Start
ed eating fruits and veggies.   

Educate yourself.. Your own HEALTH depends on it.  
  
I figured I needed to loose around 30 lbs..  I did that in a short time.  The first 18 lbs came off in about 6
weeks or less..  NO
, that is not hard on you.. (Myth)..  Not when its natural. We just lost the weight.. I am
back in a size 10 pants. Something I haven't seen for more than 20 years..  A lot of other positive things
came with this new way of eating.. More energy for one.  I was finding myself able to get up earlier and
feeling more alert..  I have more staying power than before and better focus on what I am doing..  There
simply is NO DOWN SIDE...
  By doing this we also balance our pH much better so our bodies are properly alkaline without all that
bad acid..  Disease and illness thrive in that bad acid.  Disease and illness hate an alkaline system and
have a very hard time growing in it.  


Our bodies do not ask for or need chemicals.  Our bodies are natural and need natural fuel.  When we do
this our bodies simply dump the weight that doesn't belong on us..


NOTE: Some people are on drugs that cause weight gain. In this case it can be harder to loose the weight.
